circa 1855, with 4 3/8in. octagonal barrel, bead fore-sight, open iron frame with traces of scroll engraving and half top-strap with notch rear-sight, wing-nut take-down, plain five-shot cylinder, double action only mechanism and chequered walnut grips, older refinish throughout, and complete with a partially relined period oak storage case complete with cap-tin, loading rod, turn-screw, scissors mould and a later oiler
